The Time Capsule Decks: MTG Proxies and Recreating Historic Formats

There’s something incredibly appealing about stepping back in time and playing Magic as it was in its early days. The nostalgia, the raw power of the old cards, it’s a unique experience. But collecting those cards, especially in good condition, can be a daunting and expensive task. That’s where mtg proxy cards, and MTGcardBuilder, become a time machine for Magic enthusiasts.

I’ve always been fascinated by the history of Magic. I wanted to experience formats like Old School 93/94 or Premodern, but the cost of the cards was a major barrier. I’d spend hours browsing online marketplaces, only to find that the cards I needed were either ridiculously expensive or in poor condition.

Then I discovered MTGcardBuilder. The platform was easy to use, and the quality of their proxies looked impressive. I decided to take a chance and ordered proxies for some of the key cards for my Old School deck.

The first time I played with those proxies, it was like stepping into a time capsule. The cards felt authentic, and the game was just as fun as I’d imagined. It was like I was experiencing a piece of Magic history firsthand. I even created a custom playmat to match the era. Using MTGcardBuilder to produce these mtg proxies made the experience feel even more real.

Now, I use proxies to build decks for all sorts of historic formats. It’s allowed me to explore the rich history of Magic without breaking the bank. MTGcardBuilder has become my go-to source for high-quality proxies. I even started a monthly historic format night with my friends.
